THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Imports Coordinator, you’ll take ownership of all inbound international shipments. Working closely with suppliers, freight partners, customs brokers and internal teams, you’ll ensure the timely and compliant delivery of goods across our Australian and NZ operations.
You’ll maintain accurate shipping schedules, manage freight bookings, monitor import costs, and ensure documentation is spot on – all while keeping things moving efficiently and on budget.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Managing the end-to-end import process across sea and air freight
- Maintaining and updating the 12-month shipping schedule and aligning freight bookings with business timelines
- Ensuring all deliveries meet our DIFOT (Delivered In Full On Time) expectations
- Working with vendors to ensure accurate SSCC data and compliant shipping documents
- Partnering with customs brokers to ensure tariff classifications and declarations are correct
- Proactively identifying and resolving delays or discrepancies
- Monitoring shipping costs and working within budget without compromising timelines
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders including Planning, Allocation, Production and Warehouse teams
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in international shipping, logistics, or a similar import coordination role
- Solid understanding of Incoterms, customs law, and global freight operations
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capability; experience with AP21 and WMS highly regarded
