About the role

As our new Garment Technician, you’ll play a vital role in bringing our bold product vision to life and ensuring that our ranges meet the highest standards of fit, workmanship, and quality – all while supporting a seamless production process from design handover through to store delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with buying teams, designers, and suppliers to develop products that not only look amazing but feel incredible to wear, stand up to everyday life, and meet relevant safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a fast-moving, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will:

• Create detailed tech packs that clearly communicate styling, fit and construction requirements to our suppliers.
• Own and lead fit sessions across all stages – providing confident, technical direction to ensure we meet both design intent and commercial outcomes.
• Manage all fit comments across development stages (FFS/2FS/PPS/PS), ensuring they align with Decjuba’s high standards.
• Ensure accurate care labels and fabric testing requirements are in place – with the customer experience always top of mind.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, providing constructive and solution-focused feedback to maintain bulk quality.
• Lead monthly store visits and provide feedback to internal teams and suppliers to support continuous improvement.
• Drive compliance and safety, working closely with Buying to ensure product safety standards are met from concept to delivery.
• Investigate and resolve any quality concerns using Decjuba’s 5-step QA process – always acting quickly and collaboratively to find the best solution.

You’ll Know You’re Right For This Role If You Have:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar Garment Technician or QA role, ideally within a vertical, fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, specifications, and fit – bonus if you have pattern-making experience.
• A tertiary qualification in Fashion, Textiles or a related discipline.
• Exceptional communication skills – you’re confident, clear, and collaborative when working with internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to prioritise and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical path deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
• A customer-first mindset – you care about quality, comfort, and consistency as much as you care about style.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail – nothing gets past you!
