  • Managing fit sessions and providing expert technical advice to ensure all garments meet Decjuba’s high standards.
  • Creating clear and thorough fit comments across all stages (FFS/2FS/PPS/PS), allowing the smooth progression of samples.
  • Ensuring fabric testing, care labelling, and safety standards (especially for kidswear) are met.

Supplier & Team Collaboration:

  • Liaising with factories and suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, fit, testing, and construction.
  • Providing feedback to suppliers to ensure ongoing improvements and alignment with Decjuba’s expectations.
  • Visiting stores monthly to gather insights and report findings to internal teams and suppliers.

Problem-Solving & Standards Compliance:

  • Troubleshooting potential problems and finding solutions across fit, quality, and sizing to support sales.
  • Investigating and resolving any QA/QC issues efficiently through Decjuba’s 5-step QA process.
  • Ensuring all products comply with Australian Product Safety Standards for Kidswear.  Work with buying at Handovers to ensure compliance across all criteria.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a garment technician or QA role, ideally in kidswear or a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, specifications, grading, and quality assurance (pattern-making experience is a bonus).
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Clear communicator with a solutions-focused, can-do attitude.
  • Thrives both in team environments and when working independently.
  • Passionate about fit, quality, and customer satisfaction, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
