ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead our Graphic Design team and help shape the next evolution of the DECJUBA visual identity. This is a senior creative leadership role with ownership across brand design, campaign creative and graphic execution.
Leading a team of four Graphic Designers, you’ll set the creative standard, develop forward-thinking concepts and oversee the delivery of design across every major customer touchpoint. From campaign launches, digital and social assets to website creative, retail POS, windows, packaging and internal communications, you’ll ensure the DECJUBA brand feels consistent, elevated and unmistakably us.
You’ll balance big-picture creative thinking with strong commercial awareness, team leadership and hands-on design expertise, while partnering closely with Brand, Marketing, Digital, Social, eCommerce and wider business teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead our creative direction
- Lead the development of fresh, commercially relevant creative concepts that evolve the DECJUBA visual identity.
- Translate brand and campaign strategies into strong visual narratives.
- Develop campaign themes, moodboards and creative proposals for seasonal launches and brand initiatives.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across digital and physical customer touchpoints.
- Stay connected to fashion, retail, digital and broader design trends to keep our creative relevant and differentiated.
Own campaign creative
- Oversee the creative development and rollout of integrated campaigns across digital, retail and internal channels.
- Ensure key campaign concepts translate seamlessly across website, email, paid media, social, POS, windows, packaging and more.
- Review and approve creative output before delivery, maintaining exceptional standards across typography, layout, imagery and brand consistency.
- Ensure artwork meets technical requirements across print and digital production.
Lead and develop the Design team
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Graphic Designers.
- Provide clear creative direction, constructive feedback and regular design reviews.
- Build capability across the team through coaching, development and upskilling.
- Create an environment where designers feel empowered to challenge ideas, experiment and deliver their best work.
- Set clear expectations around quality, ownership, collaboration and delivery.
Drive workflow and delivery
- Prioritise and delegate design projects across the team based on business priorities and capacity.
- Manage competing briefs, campaign deadlines and fast-turnaround requests without compromising creative quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes and team efficiency.
- Maintain visibility of projects, timelines and workloads through effective project management tools.
Partner across the business
- Collaborate closely with Brand, Digital Marketing, Social, Creative, eCommerce, Retail and other key stakeholders.
- Interpret business briefs and translate them into strong creative strategies and design solutions.
- Act as a trusted creative partner, confidently presenting concepts and providing design recommendations.
- Partner with external agencies, print suppliers and production partners to maintain creative quality from concept through to final execution.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced creative leader who knows how to combine strong design thinking with commercial impact. You’re equally comfortable developing the big idea, challenging a creative direction, coaching designers and reviewing the finer details of final artwork.
You’ll bring:
- 6+ years' experience across graphic, brand or digital design, ideally within fashion, retail or a lifestyle brand.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of Graphic Designers, with strong coaching, feedback and creative direction capability.
- Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling skills, with experience taking campaigns from initial idea through to multi-channel execution.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with strong typography, layout and visual composition capability.
- Strong knowledge of digital and print production, including web, social, paid media, email, POS, signage, windows and packaging.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, present creative recommendations and work confidently across the business.
Experience with After Effects, Figma and project management platforms such as Trello, Monday.com or similar will be advantageous.
